“We know exactly where we are in the table, and it is nothing more and nothing less than a big challenge,” said Lee. “But last week showed what happens when we stick together, bowl with discipline and take responsibility with the bat. We have beaten Luton once already this season, so we know it can be done, but we will need to be switched on from ball one because they are a very good side.”

Lee also believes the Preston result can act as a springboard, provided Hoddesdon back it up quickly. He has repeatedly spoken about finding belief through performance rather than words, and this weekend offers the perfect opportunity to prove that the win was not a one-off.

“The mood is better because winning always changes the feel around a team, but we cannot just pat ourselves on the back for one result,” added Lee. “We need points, we need wins, and we need to keep putting pressure on the sides above us. Harry coming in gives us a lift, Greg being back is great, and if everyone does their job then we can make this a really competitive game.”

Conditions are expected to be warm again, so it could be another testing afternoon in the field if either side has to chase leather for long periods.
