Hoddesdon wins back to back games to start the 2015 season.
Walters won the toss and sent flitwick into bat looking for early wickets. They did not come easily with flitwicks opening pair putting on 123 off 18 overs. Flitwick were looking like posting a formidable score but with the bowling partnership of Duke and Brown and some deadly death bowling by Walters and Bailey the momentum was dragged back in Hoddesdon's favour with Flitwick posting a respectable score of 276.
The Hoddesdon openers Jones and Walters were up for the challenge. After losing the early wicket of Jones, Walters was joined at the crease by Sam Davis and they started to take the game away from Flitwick with both batsmen playing with confidence and class hitting it to all parts of the ground. The pair put on a club record of 243 with Walters making 142 n.o and Davis recording 113 n.o which helped Hoddy pass the score in the 42nd over.
Back to back wins was confirmed with Rob Walters hitting a pleur hundred to take his league average up to 300. Sam Davis hit his maiden league century for hoddy pleur and Bailey secured his maiden 5 wicket haul. The boys now look forward to travelling up to take on Stevenage next week and hopefully securing another 30 points and remaining unbeaten and top of the league.
