The first competitive game of the season saw us travel to Winchmore Hill in the Royal London National Cup.
Walters won the toss and chose to bat. A choice he ended up being delighted with our innings finishing on 281-9. Rob batted superbly for 145 and was well supported along the way by opener Curtis (35) and number 3 Ross Clarke (32).
Victory always looked in sight with regular wickets falling in the Winchmore innings. Harry Mason's 4 for and Bills early wickets reduced WHCC to 108-7. Winchmore did rally to just over 200 with help from their keeper hitting a 50 off just 23 balls - the game was sealed though when Walters removed the number 11.
A win by 80 runs. A first win of the season and a second round tie away to Southgate, who beat local rivals Hertford in round one.
