The action kicks off on Saturday, April 26, at 12:00 PM, as Hoddesdon's 1st XI heads to Broxbourne Cricket Club in a pre-season friendly. This encounter serves as a vital warm-up ahead of the competitive fixtures, providing an opportunity for the team to fine-tune strategies and build momentum.​

The excitement continues on Sunday, April 27, at 1:00 PM, with the Sunday Friendly XI facing off against Pacific Cricket Club. This is the first home fixture of the new season and we are expecting a bumper crowd at the club to celebrate. This match promises to be a showcase of sportsmanship and community spirit, reflecting the club's commitment to fostering local cricketing talent and camaraderie.​ Sunday Captain Andrew Lewis commented 'I am really excited for this new season. Sunday cricket is crucial to the club, both for getting time at the crease and for helping to bring through tomorrows stars. I am raring to go...'

Looking ahead, the 1st XI will commence their league campaign on Saturday, May 10th, at 12:00 PM, heading to Preston Cricket Club.. This fixture marks the start of Hoddesdon's journey in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League Championship Division, where they aim to build upon last season's performances and strive for excellence. and ultimately, promotion.

Prior to that, the first team have a home game warm up against Enfield Cricket Club at Lowfield on May 3rd.

Under the leadership of Captain Rob Walters, the 1st XI is determined to make a strong impression this season. "We're excited to get back on the field and compete," said Walters. "The team has been training hard, and we're looking forward to showcasing our skills and teamwork."​
