Lifetime Opportunity for Hoddesdon Cricketer / Coach in NZ

Lifetime Opportunity for Hoddesdon Cricketer / Coach in NZ

Ian Munday31 May 2022 - 14:59

The Hoddesdon CC 'family' network is again in evidence

We are delighted to say that our motto of not just being 'any old cricket club' and our aim to always help each other out for life is yet again being evidenced. We are an ambitious cricket club but also are a family networking club and wish to continue to use our members networks to offer as many opportunities and assistance as we can to all members both on and off of the field.

We have been contacted by a former legendary Hoddesdon CC member who is now living in New Zealand and who is connected to a successful and growing cricket club in the South Island of New Zealand.

Whilst enjoying many benefits that being a Hoddesdon CC provided him during his time with us, he wishes to reciprocate to the club by offering an unbelievable opportunity to a Hoddesdon member for next season and perhaps to Hoddesdon members for future seasons.

We have been asked if a Hoddesdon player would like to join a NZ South Island Div 1 / Premier league club between October 2022 and March 2023. Their accommodation would be supplied by them and will consist of them staying in accommodation in the grounds of one of the most luxurious hotels in New Zealand that he owns which is situated in some of the most outstanding scenic locations in the world. (The image on this article is of the region where the club is located)

Depending on visa requirements being met, 30 hours work per week will be offered within the luxury hotel as park of the package.

This position would suit a player/coach who is at least Herts Premier League / Championship standard with coaching qualifications. They will be required to play for the club on a Saturday and to coach juniors on two evenings a week and on hand to help run junior games.

If not this year, then we hope members will take up the offers from the club to help them obtain cricket coaching qualifications so they are able to take on opportunities such as this in the future.

Please contact the club chairman, Ian Munday (mappamunday@aol.com) if the above is of interest to any Hoddesdon members else we can throw our network wider.

Regards
HCC Committee
