HOW TO ENTER

Getting started couldn’t be simpler:

Head to the club website shop
Pay your £10 entry fee
Download the Fantasy Club Cricket App from your app provider
Build your team and you’re ready to go!

Once you’re in, the club name is Hoddesdon CC, and the joining code is 8869. You’ll be part of the official Hoddesdon CC league, competing across the entire season. You can join any time you like throughout the season, but the earlier you join, the more points you will accrue and be in contention for outright winner.

BUILD YOUR DREAM TEAM

This is where things get interesting.

You’ll be given a £55 million budget to select your squad of 11 Hoddesdon CC players. The challenge? Squeeze maximum value out of your budget while picking a side capable of delivering points week in, week out.

Your team must include:

A mix of batters, bowlers, all-rounders and a keeper
A captain (who scores double points)
The option to boost your captain for triple points once during the season

Selection dilemmas are guaranteed:

Do you stack your side with big hitters?
Back the consistent all-rounders?
Or gamble on a breakout star from the lower teams?

Every decision matters.

HOW THE SCORING WORKS

Just like traditional fantasy football – but with a Hoddesdon twist.

Points are awarded each week based on real-life performances, including:

Runs scored
Wickets taken
Catches and fielding contributions
Standout match performances

So when Rob Walters is piling on the runs or Ross Maughan is tearing through an opposition batting line-up, or. Draisey is snaring catches left, right and centre, your fantasy side reaps the rewards.

TRANSFERS, TACTICS & GAMEWEEKS

The season unfolds in weekly gameweeks, updating every Saturday at midday.

Key rules to keep you on your toes:

You get 1 free transfer per week
Unused transfers can roll over (max of 2)
Additional transfers cost -20 points
Changes take effect the following gameweek

There’s also a wildcard option, giving you the chance to completely reshape your squad for one week only – perfect for when injuries hit or form swings wildly.

Smart managers will plan ahead. Great managers will time their moves perfectly.

LEAGUE TABLE & THE ULTIMATE PRIZE

Every week, points are added to your total as you climb (or tumble down) the league table. Bragging rights will be on the line from the very first ball of the season.

There’ll be plenty of bragging rights on the line, and with winner takes all, I’m expecting a few friendships to be tested along the way!”
