HCC trailblaze to provide opportunity for players to be on TV and identify how they can become better players

We are very excited to say that the ‘target’ to enable Hoddesdon Cricket Club to purchase and install this innovative sports recording technology at Lowfield - has been reached and the order is being processed.

The system, powered by PitchVision, now mean that all Hoddesdon Cricket Club home matches - juniors and adults - obviously as long as all safeguarding boxes are ticked by everyone - can be recorded and live-streamed onto youtube.

The system allows ball-by-ball updates on the PitchVision app aided with detailed statistics, scorecard and analysing methods as well as creating a highlights package of each game that we can upload onto our website. Providing we have volunteers to run the technology and that the technology holds up throughout the season, it could prove to be the perfect way to spend an evening if there is nothing on TV. Our Juniors playing against a local team in an intense local derby on a Tuesday evening? Sure, why not.

We hope that this modernisation of local cricket will help build the club membership across all ages and teams as players have the opportunity to be on TV and show their achievements to family and friends BUT also identify areas where they can improve technique

Hoddesdon are evidencing that through our fantastic members and support, we are not only ambitious but we are trailblazers in the modernisation of local club cricket in the area.

Special thanks to the following individuals and owners of companies who will have opportunity to have their company brands on the TV: Mark Feely, Antony Higgs, Gary Hatherley, Neil Connor, Justin Brown, Munday Family, Jason Bettenson and the Friends of Hoddesdon

As always, donations and the Friends of Hoddesdon continue to play such a huge part for various aspects of he club and are always welcomed and if you or your company wish to donate or sponsor to further enhance the club or become the main sponsors of the junior development academies or to have your branded logo on the TV screen then please contact myself (mappamunday@aol.com)

An example of the TV screen can be seen in the associated image of this article

Thanks again,
Ian
Chairman, on behalf of Hoddesdon CC Committee
