Hoddesdon Cricket Club is stepping up to the oche this spring with the launch of its first ever Darts Night – a brand new event that’s set to hit the bullseye with members, friends, and local darts enthusiasts alike.

Taking place on Saturday 17th May 2025, this action-packed evening promises an atmosphere full of friendly competition, good cheer, and plenty of top-notch throwing. Whether you fancy yourself as the next Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor or you’re more treble than trouble, there’s a place for everyone in our open-to-all darts tournament.

The evening will kick off at 7pm sharp in the Clubhouse, where the arrows will fly and the banter will be flowing. Anyone can enter the competition – member or non-member – and there’s a prize for the overall winner, so it’s worth keeping your eye on the double top!

But it’s not all about the darts – our fully stocked club bar will be open all night, serving up ice-cold drinks to help steady those throwing arms. From checking out on 170 to busting on a double 1, we’re expecting plenty of high scores, low groans, and big cheers as players go toe-to-toe for throwing glory. It’s the perfect excuse to gather your mates, enjoy a few drinks, and aim for the top – even if your darts don’t always follow suit.

Whether you're a seasoned darts veteran or can barely tell a tungsten tip from a treble 20, you’ll be made to feel welcome. Our aim is simple – to bring the club together for a night of laughs, drinks, and friendly rivalry.

No booking required – just turn up on the night and get your name on the board. There’ll be plenty of time to warm up those wrists and sharpen your arrows before the real competition begins.

Randomised knockout matches of 301 will be played, and to enter you just have to spin the £5 wheel behind the bar, once on the night.
