Wow, what a weekend that was...for those that missed it...a quick summary...for those that came to support, thank you so much, we hope you enjoyed yourselves … for those that did miss it...it is an even bigger Saturday this weekend ..and its our LAST Saturday at the club...YOUR CLUB.

Our 2nd XI gained their 4th consecutive promotion (unbelievable effort) and will be playing in Herts League Division 2B next year - serious cricket
Our 3rd XI gained their 4th consecutive promotion (unbelievable effort) and will be playing either 1 or 2 leagues higher than year
Our 4th XI stayed up (believable effort) and had a lovely day out at some ground in Hertfordshire...:)

BUT....THIS SATURDAY, WE HAVE THE 1st XI LEAGUE TITLE DECIDING GAME !! 11.30 START

Hoddy CC 1st XI batsman, Jayden Broodryk, scored 1,005 league runs for the season in 15 league innings and currently AVERAGES 143.57 - currently a league record - his runs helped our 1st XI beat promotion chasing Shenley Village to stay TOP of the Hertfordshire Cricket Championship with ONE game remaining

The last game on Saturday will see us host the current 2nd placed team Reed (who are in the UK Village Final at Lords in 3 weeks time) for the title decider - Hoddesdon require 5 points to win the title....the nerves will drive all supporters to drink !! (as usual)

Our 2nd XI are 1pt behind the league leaders and have a chance to become champions of their league - come on the 2s

THERE'S MORE...WE HAVE Under9s,10s,11s,13,14s,15s JUNIOR AWARDS THIS SATURDAY !!

Our fantastic Juniors enjoyed a great season with multiple age groups getting through to final knockouts and either winning or being runners up in their leagues … this Saturday is our Junior Presentation Night where we are inviting ALL junior members, their parents and families to celebrate a great season in conjunction with our Senior Players. The Senior Players have asked for the presentation to take place on this final day as they are aware of how important the Juniors are and wish to celebrate their success with the juniors success - as vast majority of the senior players have all come through the Hoddy Junior Academy. The presentations times are dependant on the coaches being back from their respective games but the aim is to start between 6.30-7.30pm. - Food will be available

Jon Dean, our resident DJ/Pop Star and general good egg (if I can read your writing here Jon!), has cleared his diary and (so he says) turned down many lucrative opportunities to host our evening of music and presentations - perhaps the odd karaoke later on !!

THERE'S MORE...WE HAVE TO DRINK THE BAR DRY THIS SATURDAY !!

That's right...everything MUST go - its our LAST night before we hand the club back to the football club !! Aidan is already putting more deals together than Daniel Levy or Boris the PM....
