Congratulations to the 11 Hoddesdon CC Members who signed up for the free sessions that the club offered to all members last night. All 11 members received their certificates (two left before the photo was taken !) which are valid for 3 years.
The 11 Members covered: Managing incidents, managing a casualty including initial assessments, managing an unconscious casualty, managing a casualty who has stopped breathing, AED/Defib awareness, casualties who are choking, how to treat bleeding incidents.
Chairman comment by Ian Munday, "The club are proud to have offered these sessions for free as it puts the club in a much better position regarding the amount of First Aiders at the Club on hand to assist with any incidents although we hope the members will not have to use their new skills too often. We would recommend clubs offer this out to members as we also were made aware that the on premise defib will be in urgent need of updated parts in the coming months which we would not have known unless the First Aid Management Company had checked all of our equipment"
Thank you to Andy Littlechild for holding these sessions - everyone really enjoyed the evening.
