Sponsor a Beer and a Band, our two new 3rd XIs Cs and VCs and request for your support

A very big hello to all members, including our growing list of new members. The below are just a few, but very important updates about club events and your support is HUGELY appreciated

My Club Wins - Hoddesdon CC members scoop wins - Pls help us reach our goal

"Small Direct Debit to win larger Credits".....News reached us on Friday that for nearly the 20th time in the last 12 months, a Hoddesdon CC member had come up trumps in the national My Club Wins Lottery. In the last 6 months draws we have had the following members win cash prizes of between £15-£200. Matt Byrne (February), Louis Purves (January), Andrew Byrne (December & September), Ian Munday (October), Duncan Mackenzie (October), Terry Pearson (October & September), Hannah Leonard (September), Steve Wheatcroft (September)

Please help us reach our goal of 100 monthly entries by end March - click the link or copy and paste into a browser

For each monthly £5 ticket purchased, the cricket club receives £2.50. Your support is invaluable to the club and will help us with our plans to keep on improving it.

Hoddesdon Captains and VCs confirmed for the two 3rd XIs for 2024

We are delighted that Dan Hawkins (Captain) will be accompanied by two VCs, Adam Tackley and Scott Higgins in the 3rd XI Herts League team and that Ross Maughan (Captain) will be accompanied by two VCs, Louis Webb and Joe Clarke in the 3rd XI Herts and Essex League team.

The objective of the season is for the 6 of them to work collaboratively to ensure that we field two balanced sides each week and they are seen as 'same level' teams hence we will not have the concept of a 3s and 4s but we have 2 x 3rd XIs playing in different leagues with their home grounds at Thundridge and Hertingfordbury. This will allow players to enjoy playing across a wider 3rd XI squad.

We wish the 3rd XI Captains and VCs our best wishes and support for the coming season.

Midsummer Celebration - Sunday 16th June - Sponsor a "Beer and a Band"

As part of a 10 day Midsummer celebration where various events will be held by Love Hoddesdon in and around the town. On Sunday 16th June, there is an event in Barclay Park which we are delighted to say that we have been asked to partner with and we are looking to set up a beer tent with live music, serve food from the kitchen, Hoddesdon historians will be walking groups around Barclay Park and club historian, Terry Pearson will conduct a HCC history talk before England play a group Euros match which will be live on the TVs in the evening

We are looking for members or your business to help with the event by sponsoring a beer and a band. For £125, your details will be on display against a beer and a band that we have on the day. The money will be used to purchase beers from local breweries and to support local bands.

You or your business can sponsor a beer and a band for £125 by clicking on the following link or copy and pasting into a browser

Winter nets and new members

We are delighted that the senior nets are being very well attended on Weds evenings and Saturday mornings at HECC. We have a growing list of new playing members across all levels and we cannot wait to all meet in person at the club in a few weeks time

Lastly, our best wishes to all members

We are aware of a few members experiencing health issues and we would like to extend our best wishes to everyone
